Singing has quite clearly changed my son’s life!

It has given him confidence to be exactly who he wants to be. Jess knows how to manage, read and assess his moods and behaviours even before the session starts. Her ability to get the best out of him is phenomenal - he gives concerts in our home every Christmas - which is very successful for us all! It is hugely beneficial for my son and long may it continue.

Music makes me happy. I liked the keyboard and harmonica and we all played together

The thing I really enjoyed about music is providing myself with the ability to make music with my voice

In music I have been playing a lot of instruments. I heard the waves in the ocean drum and have been doing some banging music. I loved the harmonica and the flutes making a noise and all kinds of instruments that are very noisy and loud. Having music was exciting

Jessica worked in the autism centre delivering music therapy to pupils on a 1:1 and group basis. Some pupils had specific concerns that they needed to work through, some struggled socially and others experienced heightened anxiety. The music sessions helped the pupils in different ways but it was lovely to see them emerge from sessions: happy, more confident and at ease. It was a great resource to draw upon, particularly for the anxious pupils.
